Bouldering Competition for Children 5 - 10 Years Old
Give your child a competitive experience in a stress-free manner.
Sounds contradictory? It's the best of both worlds. We will give the kids a chance to compete and strive for the best.
BUT, not against anyone else. They will compete against themselves. In other words, it's them versus the wall.
Here's what Rockidz is about: Children will try to complete 6 different climbs within 20 minutes. The more climbs they complete, the better their result.
Complete 1 - 2 out of 6 climbs = Bronze Award
Complete 3 - 4 out of 6 climbs = Silver Award
Complete 5-6 out of 6 climbs = Gold Award
Everyone will get a medal! As long as they try.
Rockidz is for children of various skill level.
First-time competitor will be aiming to complete at least one completed climb for the Bronze medal while the more experienced kids would be gunning to complete more climb for Silver or Gold medal.

Age Groups
Children will climb with others in the same age group. Each age group will have age-appropriate climbs.
For example, the climbs for 5-6 years old will be easier compared to the climbs for 7-8 years old.
*Please note that the age will be based on the year of birth.
U6 Category: 5 - 6 Years Old (2018, 2019)
U8 Category: 7 - 8 Years Old (2016, 2017)
U10 Category: 9 - 10 Years Old (2014, 2015)
Format
Children will be split into groups, according to their age. Each group (10-15 children) will have 20 minutes in the climbing zone to attempt all the climbs. There is no limit to the number of attempts on each wall/route. However, each climber may only complete each climb once.
Medals will be awarded based on the number of climbs completed within 20 minutes.
At the end of each session, judges will tabulate the total number of routes completed and participants will be presented with the corresponding medals accordingly. Each child will be awarded based on their result regardless of their peers' results.

Actual time slot will be announced closer to event date. Expected stay for each climber is 1.5 hour, inclusive of briefing, climbing time, medal presentation, etc..
Event T-shirt
This year, we started an initiative to allow participants to wear the competition shirt from previous edition of Rockidz. All participants are required to wear competition shirt during the event. For those without the shirt from previous Rockidz, it may be purchase at $15 (U.P. $20) during signup. For those who turn up at the event without an event shirt, it may also be purchased over the counter at $20.

Driving:
Ample basement parking available at B2 & B3. Take the lift up from Lobby 3 to Basement 1.
Taxi:
If you're taking a taxi, alight along Jalan Samarinda. Take the escalator down to B1. With your back facing the escalator, look to your left. You'll see a door that says "More Shop", enter through that door, walk straight and you'll see My Little Climbing Room on your left.
MRT:
From Serangoon MRT Station, take bus 53 at Exit C. Ride 7 stops.
From Kovan MRT Station, take bus 113 at Exit C. Ride 4 stops. Alight after Yuying Secondary School.
Cut through Hougang Avenue 1 Park and you'll see Pomenade @ Pelikat.
Take the escalator to B1. With your back facing the escalator, look to your left. You'll see a door that says "More Shop", enter through that door, walk straight and you'll see My Little Climbing Room on your left.
